Here is the SHORT version of who we are!

Robbi Longbrake:

Robbi has been riding horses since about the time she could walk.  Her first horse, Dusty, was the
same pony that her mother, Carol Lynn, learned to ride horse on also.   Robbi grew up in
Mobridge,  SD and competed in 4-H, Little Britches, and High School rodeo associations.  She
competed in Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping, Ribbon Roping, Team
Roping, Cutting, and Queen Contests.  She won SD State Champion in both the Barrel Racing and
Pole Bending.  She also qualified for Nationals and represented SD in all events.  She represented
SD in the Queen Contest  at NLBRA National finals and ended up as 1st runner-up.  She won
scores of awards and belt buckles.  At the SD State Horse Show, she won Reserve Grand
Champion in the Western Riding.
After High School, Robbi went to College at Chadron State College on a rodeo scholarship.  She
competed in the breakaway roping, goat tying and barrel racing during the school year and went
home for the summers to compete in the barrel racing at SDRA rodeos.
Robbi has trained many successful barrel and pole horses.  In the late 90's, after her and Daman
both completed their Master Degrees, Robbi and her family sold their horses and moved to
Philadelphia, PA so that she could work on her Doctorate in Higher Education Administration at
the prestigious  Ivy  League school, University of Pennsylvania.  The minute that the family moved
back to the Midwest, their first purchase was a horse.  They have slowly put together an
outstanding pen of about 20  horses.

Daman Heitz:

Daman grew up in Alliance, NE.  He is an athlete and excelled in many sports.  He
played football for Chadron State College and has a great love for basketball.  Today he
gets to spend his time coaching the Pee Wee Basketball, T-Ball, and Flag Football teams
for his 6 year old daughter. Although he did not grow up around horses, he has a great love for
them.  He has been married to Robbi for 17 years and involved with all aspects of a horse
ranching operation since then.  He is still learning, but is coming along nice in his horsemanship
abilities.  He has entered and won several local events year end awards.  He is interested in
bloodlines and spends hours researching winning lines.

Ashley Lynn Heitz:

Ashley is 17 years old and loves horses.  She is getting
to be a better and better rider everyday.  Ashley was
born with special needs as a result of her birth mothers
abuse of alcohol. She came to live with us when
she was about 4.  She spends hours riding her horse in the summer.
She is a bit of a timid rider, so she concentrates on one event, the barrels.  In the past she won
several races and was so happy! She has a special gift for spelling, and won the county spelling
bee for the 2nd year in a row.  She also competed at the State Spelling Bee.

Ryder Lee Heitz:
Ryder Lee is 8 years old and a natural at horse riding.  She's been riding since
she was 2.   She has been competing since age of 4. This year she was crowned
2007 National Little Britches Rodeo Little Wrangler Princess.  She also won the
Nebraska NBHA State Champion 4-D this past June.    She has now won 32 belt
buckles and lots of other prizes and money rodeoing.  She has qualified for  the  NLBRA  2007
National Finals in Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Flag Race and Goat Tail Untying.  Ryder is
currently sitting in first place in the national standings in Barrel Racing. She competes in the
dummy roping and mutton busting when she can.  She rides a 22 year old Peace Train bred
gelding by the name of Rain Train.  He is an old race horse.  He is crazy about her and takes really
good care of her. Her Aunt Ronda Longbrake recently gave her Cliffs Train, AKA Caboose, (sister
to Rain Train) to compete in the pole bending on.  Ryder's mom, Robbi, trained Caboose for the
barrels, poles and goats 20 years ago. They are getting along really good.  We are very happy to
have Caboose at our home for a while and very thankful for the opportunity to compete on her
again. Ryder competes in Nebraska Jr. Rodeos, AQHA, NLBRA and runs barrels in local barrels
series.  She also likes to play basketball, soccer, T-Ball, flag football, and swim. She recently
crowned the State Tri-State Pagent winner and loves wearing her crown and what she calls her
"princess ball gown".
Ryder and Rainy, March 2005, are just checking out the fit!
Rainy thinks it fits just perfect as he acts way too cool for
this picture, and unfortunately, Ryder has to grow a little
more before she gets to use her new saddle!  That's ok,
Ryder, people are lined up to use it for you while you wait!
WOW!  Ashley showing off
her check!  Way to go girl!
