Rocky is currently in barrel
and pole training.
His second crop of foals are due
any day.
He spent last winter months at the trainers, learning all
of his basics. After his first 30 days, we have seen how
fantastic this guy is going to be! He is handling himself
like an old seasoned gelding. He has natural form and
ability. He works off of his hind-end like he has been
doing it for years. He naturally keeps his body under him
and in the correct position. He has a heart of gold.
According to Tasha, our trainer, "he tries so hard to
please." He is quick, yet smart. He has been traveling to
different places to work cattle and pasture ride. He
handles the various places like an old pro!
After 60 days, he is picking up his leads, side passing,
responding to leg pressure, spinning both directions and
sliding his butt into the ground and running backwards!
He will continue to stay with the trainer until we need to
bring him back home for breeding season--soon!
